It's a birthday celebration, just in case you didn't know

Doug, feeling rather crabbySome pictures from my 30th birthday party, held with my dear friends Mary Helen and Kelly at the Red Lobster at Paducah. It was a lovely dinner, with some great lobster and crab (I can't get enough lobster, it's such an expensive delicacy), and even better conversation. Doug, making note of the fact that there weren't 30 candles on the cakeMary Helen was thoughtful enough to buy me a lovely (and quite delicious) birthday cake. Of course, just having a cake wasn't good enough, so she topped it with candles that don't blow out. I tried so hard to blow them out that wax eventually melted onto the cake. (I didn't know that candlewax was so edible)

Doug, feeling rather winded after having spent 5 minutes trying to blow out the candlesBut it was quite good, even with the extra icing, and was the perfect capper to a lovely evening with good friends. A great way to celebrate such a milestone.
Doug, Mary, Kelly, and some strange fish that just happened to be in the vicinity. Notice how the fish matches Mary's clothes - fishy, eh?
