It's a family affair...... it's a family affair......

There are a few truly priceless things in life - the love of your friends, and the love of your family. I have a really great family, so it's not hard to love them.

Mom and Ernie

Mom and Ernie, from 1987 - I was about to leave for GermanyYou have to start with Mom. She has been the one constant in my life from day 1. She is not only my Mom, but also my best friend. Who else would put up with all my shenanigans?Rob, Ernie, Mom and I, 5/26/91 At left you see Mom and Ernie with my cousin Rob and myself, at Rob's sister (and my other cousin) Beth's wedding. Beth was so considerate that she chose Mom's birthday to get married on. You would think that this would make it easier for me to remember her anniversary, and send a card or something. But nooooo.... I'm too forgetful.....

Here you see a fair portion of my family, taken at my cousin Rob's wedding. From left to right, you see me, my Aunt Judi and her husband Jim Rossiter (Jim Croce said it best when he said "don't mess around with Jim" - Jim's a retired police sergeant, he knows people! LOL), My family, August 1988newlyweds Karen and Rob (notice their Akido outfits), Mike and Beth with Jonah, Tom Gallegly (first husband of Judi), a lady whose name I cannot remember but whom I believe to be a relative of Tom's, and Carolyn (Tom's wife), who is holding Micah. Mom, Ernie, Grandma and Milton were all in Florida and were unable to attend, or we would have had a complete family portrait. These are all such wonderful people, and I couldn't imagine a better family to have. Of course, keep in mind, this is only Mom's side of the family. Cindy, from 1981

The picture you see here is of Cindy, taken when she was a little more than a year old, circa 1981. She was a wonderful dog, a poodle who was so proud of her long fluffy tail. We would take walks that would last for hours, in summer or winter. When she would get fiesty, we would run laps around the house, running up and down the stairs; and when she was especially frisky, I would lay prone on the floor and she would take running leaps over my legs like a horse runnng the steeplechase - Mom would sometimes participate in the festivities. When I was sad, she would come and sit on my lap and comfort me. She loved us unconditionally for 16 years, through good times and bad. Cindy, from 1987 When she passed away in February of 1996, having retired with Mom to Florida, Mom and I were heartbroken. Everyone should have a companion as good as Cindy was to us. Cindy, from 1992
