For more information on any of the rock, pop and Jazz music featured on this program, I frequently utilize AllMusic , an excellent free database holding a huge plethora of information about music and the artists that make it.

One of a set of three piano sonatas composed together in 1828, the year Schubert died, and published posthumously. The piece is considered a masterpiece among solo piano works, and gives us an excellent sampling of Schubert's lyrical, melodic gifts. (Correcting my error in time calculation from last week)
The Ornette Coleman Double Quartet (-w- Coleman, Don Cherry, Scott La Faro and Billy Higgins on one side, and Eric Dolphy, Freddie Hubbard, Charlie Haden and Ed Blackwell on the other)
