Some more new (or new-ish) old stuff

Continuing with material that I had brought last week, but was not able to squeeze in.....

You may ask why I play so much older material, especially rock and pop music from the '50s, 60s and 70s. I find this material to be from an era where a great deal of creativity was put into music. Our primary selections this evening are from the '60s, the era of the Beatles, Hendrix and Mingus. Tonight's selections, especially, highlight some of the most interesting creativity ever to be put into pop music. Also, I have always been interested in the history and development of music

Composer's name is listed where notable (i.e. Classical Performance, Jazz Performance).

For more information on any of the rock, pop and Jazz music featured on this program, I frequently utilize AllMusic , an excellent free database holding a huge plethora of information about music and the artists that make it.
