A little bit country, a little bit..... Mozart?

Had this urge for some country music. So........

Composer's name is listed where notable (i.e. Classical Performance, Jazz Performance).

For more information on any of the rock, pop and Jazz music featured on this program, I frequently utilize AllMusic , an excellent free database holding a huge plethora of information about music and the artists that make it.

The first two songs are from their first recording session, and we hear the core group (Leonard Slye, later known as Roy Rogers, Tom Nolan, Tim Spencer, and Hugh Farr playing fiddle and sometimes singing bass). They would be later joined by Hugh's brother Karl and Lloyd Perryman, and Pat Brady would replace Slye in 1937, as Slye was contractually forced to focus on his movie career. This later lineup is considered the "classic" lineup and did many appearances in western movies, at times appearing in movies with Slye (billed as Bob Nolan and the Sons of the Pioneers).
