The first two songs are from their first recording session, and we hear the core group (Leonard Slye, later known as Roy Rogers, Tom Nolan, Tim Spencer, and Hugh Farr playing fiddle and sometimes singing bass). They would be later joined by Hugh's brother Karl and Lloyd Perryman, and Pat Brady would replace Slye in 1937, as Slye was contractually forced to focus on his movie career.
