More new material for you this week, in an abbreviated show (owing to some unfortunate mechanical issues with my truck). We start with The Beastie Boys and their recent reissue of Paul's Boutique in a 20th Anniversary Edition. This is widely credited as being one of the better albums of the 1980s, and a landmark album in the history of rap music. This also helped establish the Dust Brothers as a production duo of notice, and initiated a style of music that would become quite popular during the 90s.
We also premiere the new release from Lamb of God, Wrath. I do enjoy bringing in new material, and this is a pretty good album.
Composer's name is listed where notable (i.e. Classical Performance, Jazz Performance).
For more information on any of the rock, pop and Jazz music featured on this program, I frequently utilize AllMusic , an excellent free database holding a huge plethora of information about music and the artists that make it.
