Some Water Music, but no rain....

Composer's name is listed where notable (i.e. Classical Performance, Jazz Performance).

For more information on any of the rock, pop and Jazz music featured on this program, I frequently utilize AllMusic , an excellent free database holding a huge plethora of information about music and the artists that make it.

Written for a series of royal river excursions down the Thames River. The first of these is known to have taken place on Aug. 3, 1715.
Water Music Suite No. 3 in G Major
The third suite is believed to have been written for a river party that took place on 4/28/1736. There is no particularly proper listening order - we could do it chronologically, which is my usual practice. This time, we are doing the 3rd suite second, because it plays at a slower pace than the 2nd.
